Breakfast on your face. DIY Face Paste Recipe

A face care that is not only safe to eat but can also benefit your skin - dream or reality?

Did you know that our skin starts to glow and become more radiant when we remove all the dirt and dead cells from its surface?

Imagine that year after year our top layer of skin cells dies away and if not removed they mix very well with environmental dirt, make up and become a perfect environment for candida and dermatophyte.

This dead weight prevents the new cells underneath from “breathing” and restoring.

Therefore, the key to glowing skin is not moisturizing but removing the dead layer of cells and improving skin microbiome. This naturally will stimulate the production of new cells and will help make your skin look refreshed, radiant and younger looking.

You Will need:

  • Milled Oats or Oat flour

  • Manuka or Kanuka Honey

  • Muslin Tissue (or a small face towel)

How to use:

  • Add ¼ tea spoon s – ½ tea spoon of Manuka or Kanuka Honey and mix in.

  • Remove your make up and dry your face and neck

  • Apply Oat & Honey "porridge" to clean, dry face and spread using circular motions

  • Leave for a minimum of 3 minutes. Tip: While waiting you can brush your teeth, take shower or do your other routines.

  • Then take a muslin tissue (you can definitely find some in baby department), wet the tissue with warm water and press against the face. If you have left the mask for a longer period of time and it dried up use a little bit of warm water to moisture it.

  • Using circular motions start polishing your forehead, nose, cheeks, ears, behind the ears and chin area. You can use circular motions or go in the direction of face massage lines using your index fingers (see video below).

  • Then rinse your face with warm water, you can also use a low Ph wash gel - this will further help to fight candida but supports the natural skin microbiome

  • Apply your regular cream as usual

  • Notice how different your skin feels, even the next morning your skin will thank you with a soft touch.

Repeat this 1-2 times a week for 1.5 month and you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

How and Why it works

Oats works by drawing moisture to the skin and soothing irritation. Saponins, in Oats have soap-like properties and can act as a cleanser, unclogging the pores.

Manuka/Kanuka Honey help to balance your skin's pH level and peel away dead cell debris. Its anti-inflammatory effect can decrease local inflammation caused by acne. As an antibacterial with low Ph of about 3-4.5 Manuka honey leaves fewer bacteria to infect pores and cause acne.

Muslin Cloth – easily grabs and lifts the dead layer of cells from the epidermis.

Note: if you have acne in active phase, do not use the muslin cloth to avoid spreading infection, simply leave the mask for a longer period of time, then rinse with warm water. Use low Ph washing gel to complete the procedure.
